Thirteen killed in India due to Pakistani shelling

The Indian government announced on Thursday that 13 civilians have died from Pakistani artillery fire along the Line of Control, the de facto border between the two countries, following an escalation of violence that involved artillery exchanges after a series of Indian strikes.

The Indian Foreign Minister stated that all the deceased were from the town of Poonch (northeast), which is also where the majority of the 59 injured individuals were located.
