Wydad Casablanca Takes Legal Action Following Assault on Ball Carrier During Classic Match

Wydad Casablanca has initiated legal steps after an assault on a child ball carrier during the classic match against Royal Army, held last Saturday at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.

Mohamed Talal, the club’s spokesperson, announced in a post on his official Facebook account that the team’s management has begun communicating with the family of the assaulted child to file an official complaint with the security services. Additionally, they will submit a report to the Ethics Committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, accompanied by a video recording documenting the moment of the assault.

Talal described the incident as a “brutal and unacceptable attack under any pretext,” emphasizing that the child is one of the club’s own and that it is the institution’s duty to defend and protect him from all forms of violence within the stadiums.

The incident sparked outrage after cameras captured footage of the assault occurring around the stadium during a match that ended with Wydad winning 2-1, marking the 28th round of the professional championship.
