The Arab Social Democratic Alliance has reaffirmed its support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco, rejecting any threat to Morocco’s sovereignty over its entire territory and any separatist attempts.
In a statement following its recent meeting in Hyderabad, India, on the sidelines of the Global Progressive Alliance conference, the coalition urged neighboring countries to resolve issues through peaceful means, based on cooperation to achieve true development for all the peoples of the region.
During this meeting, attended by the First Secretary of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, Idriss Lachgar, the alliance expressed its commitment to continue working to empower youth and women, involving them in economic and public life, and enabling them to occupy decision-making positions and leadership roles in government and civil institutions, as well as in parliaments and local councils. This will be accomplished through various initiatives and activities at local and regional levels, in cooperation and coordination with the Progressive Alliance to realize global and social justice.
On another note, the alliance noted that the Middle East is one of the most critical regions of conflict and instability, impeding peace, security, and prosperity for its peoples and countries.
In this regard, it emphasized that there can be no peace without recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to live in their homeland and establish their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
