A European hub intends to establish a pharmaceutical center in Morocco and enhance training in the health sector.

The president of “Net-Pharma Hub,” the first pharmaceutical hub in Europe, announced the organization’s intention to create a pharmaceutical center in Morocco during an official meeting with the Moroccan ambassador to Spain, Karima Benyaich, on Wednesday.

The president emphasized “Net-Pharma Hub’s” readiness to develop partnerships with Morocco by launching training programs aimed at health sector professionals, with the goal of transferring European skills and expertise to the Kingdom.

This meeting occurred as part of Ambassador Benyaich’s visit to the “Net-Pharma Hub” headquarters, the leading European platform that encompasses a number of major companies operating in the pharmaceutical services and technology sector. The two parties discussed cooperation opportunities, knowledge exchange, and skill transfer.

During the visit, the strength of bilateral relations between Morocco and Spain was reaffirmed, particularly in strategic economic areas, including the pharmaceutical industry, which is a cornerstone of the new partnership established following the visit of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to Morocco in April 2022, at the invitation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

The Moroccan official also had the opportunity to familiarize herself with the innovative model adopted by “Net-Pharma Hub,” which combines modern technologies, advanced governance, and engagement in developing access to health services.

“Net-Pharma Hub” is one of the most important reference hubs in Europe in the field of health technology and services. It was inaugurated in December 2023 by the President of the Madrid Regional Government, Isabel Díaz Ayuso. It includes around thirty companies, mostly small and medium-sized enterprises specializing in the pharmaceutical sector, collectively generating an annual turnover exceeding one billion euros.

The center provides integrated services that meet the needs of the health sector and encourages innovation and skill development through a partnership framework that includes companies, universities, professional associations, and official institutions, making it a leading platform in supporting innovation and training.
