Ambassador Omar Hilale from the United Nations reaffirmed Morocco’s firm stance regarding the issue of Western Sahara, emphasizing that Morocco’s sovereignty over its southern territories is a “fixed truth that is not subject to dispute or negotiation.”

In an interview with an American channel, the diplomat stressed that Rabat does not engage in any discussions that affect its territorial integrity, clarifying that ongoing international talks focus solely on ways to resolve what he termed an “artificial” conflict.

Hilale added that any proposal not based on full recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara “lacks credibility,” both domestically and on an international level, asserting that such notions are far removed from a realistic solution.

He highlighted that Morocco’s position remains steadfast, rejecting any compromise or concession regarding its lands, noting that historical and geographical facts, alongside field developments, reinforce this direction and solidify it.
