A recent international report has ranked Morocco as one of the top 15 countries globally for attracting investment in the mining sector, placing it 15th in the world and 2nd in Africa for 2025, according to the Fraser Institute.
This ranking reflects the Kingdom’s growing appeal in the mining field, based on its rich natural resources, improved regulatory and legal frameworks for investment, as well as the increasing confidence of international investors in the political stability and clarity of the laws governing mining activities.
The Canadian report noted that Morocco continues to enhance its position as a regional and international player in the sector, opening up prospects for attracting new investments and supporting sustainable economic development, despite some challenges related to administrative procedures and the tax system.
