The Royal Moroccan Football Federation condemned racism and expressed its support for Moroccan international Omar Hilali.
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, the federation announced its full solidarity with Hilali after he was subjected to offensive remarks during his team’s match, Espanyol Barcelona versus Celta Vigo, in the 26th round of La Liga.
In an official statement, the federation asserted its complete rejection of any form of racism and discrimination, both on and off the field, emphasizing the importance of upholding values of respect, tolerance, and sportsmanship that form the foundation of football competitions.
