The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened trading on Thursday with an increase, as its main index, MASI, rose by 2.6% to settle at 17,088.31 points.
The MASI.20 index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, also saw an uptick of 3% to reach 1,293.36 points.
Meanwhile, the MASI ESG index, which includes companies rated highly on governance and sustainability criteria, achieved a 2.1% increase, settling at 1,163.58 points.
Additionally, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies, registered a growth of 2.06%, reaching 1,769.06 points.
The MASI index had concluded Wednesday’s trading with a gain of 1.56%.
