The Peace Markets, part of the YNNA Group, have launched the “Gifts of Our Land” initiative in collaboration with the Agricultural Development Agency (ADA) to support, promote, and market local products offered by Moroccan cooperatives.
A joint statement highlighted that this initiative will showcase the expertise of Moroccan cooperatives within the Peace Markets store in Hay Riad, running from March 4 to 17.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover a diverse range of products related to Moroccan agricultural heritage, provided by several cooperatives, including honey, argan oil, dates, couscous, spices, saffron, and natural cosmetics.
This event serves as a chance to enhance the promotion of local products and support the social and solidarity economy.
In this context, Mehdi Rifi, the general director of the Agricultural Development Agency, welcomed the Peace Markets initiative, considering it an important opportunity for cooperatives to showcase their products to the public and enhance their visibility among consumers. He emphasized that such initiatives significantly contribute to promoting local products and developing the social and solidarity economy.
Abdel Karim Tasin, a board member of Peace Markets, affirmed that cooperatives play a central role in valuing local products and enhancing a more inclusive economy. He noted that the “Gifts of Our Land” initiative aims to bring producers closer to consumers, aligning with the YNNA Group’s commitment to supporting products labeled “Made in Morocco” and developing local sectors.
The statement noted that since signing a partnership agreement with the Agricultural Development Agency in 2019, Peace Markets has contributed to the promotion and marketing of local products. Currently, the chain displays over 1,000 products from approximately 45 Moroccan cooperatives across 15 stores in various regions of the country, reinforcing the value of national agricultural heritage.
