A participatory approach from the Ministry of Health to manage the transition of healthcare professionals at Agadir Hospital and ensure service continuity

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection is accelerating efforts to finalize the details of the transitional phase linked to the reconstruction of Hassan II Regional Hospital in Agadir, amid increasing concerns from sector professionals regarding the fate of human resources and working conditions during this period.

According to official data, the Ministry is handling this phase with caution and responsibility, adopting an approach based on listening to and engaging with various concerns raised, whether through unions or directly from healthcare and administrative staff.

Regarding the redistribution of personnel within the institution, the Ministry clarified that this process will be conducted temporarily through a participatory mechanism, emphasizing dialogue with social partners while considering the professional, social, and health circumstances of those involved, with the aim of ensuring a fair and balanced distribution.

Simultaneously with the reconstruction efforts, various healthcare institutions within Agadir Ida-Outan province, alongside the provincial hospital in Inzegan, have been mobilized to secure the continuity of medical services and ensure community access to care under normal conditions.

The Ministry plans to launch a new round of meetings with labor unions starting next week, under the supervision of the central administration and in coordination with the Human Resources Directorate, to discuss the details of this phase and reach an agreement that safeguards professional rights and enhances trust within the sector.

This initiative comes in the context of a broader effort to rehabilitate the healthcare infrastructure and improve the quality of services while maintaining the continuity of public facilities and ensuring stability for healthcare professionals.
