Nail Al-Ainawi Overcomes Shock of Burglary and Joins AS Roma Training
Sources confirmed that Moroccan international Nail Al-Ainawi has managed to overcome the psychological shock from the armed burglary that occurred at his home in Rome on Monday night, during which six masked assailants broke in and stole belongings valued at around $10,000, after holding the family in one of the rooms.
The same sources added that Al-Ainawi returned to participate normally in the training sessions of his team, AS Roma, which is preparing to face Bologna in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16, showing psychological stability and focus following the incident.
Al-Ainawi is currently in his first season with the Wolves, having transferred last summer from French club Lens in a deal worth €23 million, with a contract lasting until the summer of 2030. The player lost his starting position in the lineup after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, where the Moroccan national team reached the finals against Senegal.
Al-Ainawi is expected to be included in the list that national team coach Mohamed Wahbi will announce for the matches against Ecuador and Paraguay, scheduled for March 27 and 31, in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.
