Algerian Provocations Renewed: Two Moroccans Killed on Charges of Drug Trafficking

The Algerian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that two Moroccan individuals were killed while allegedly attempting to smuggle 49 kilograms of processed cannabis into Algerian territory, according to the official statement.

The information has not yet been independently verified, as observers link these incidents to a series of provocations carried out by Algeria against Morocco. Experts believe that these movements are partly aimed at diverting attention from internal crises in Algeria and are also a reaction to Morocco’s diplomatic successes regarding the Western Sahara issue, reflecting rising tensions along the eastern border of the kingdom.

Onlookers warn that the continuation of these provocations could affect regional security and complicate bilateral relations between the two countries.
