The leadership of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), during the 31st session of the National Council, outlined a comprehensive political reading of the current stage, combining management of the delicate national moment with the consolidation of major constants and defense of the state’s choices both domestically and internationally. They emphasized that spatial justice and youth participation are fundamental pillars for a strong Morocco in the coming phase.

The opening remarks addressed the climatic conditions affecting the country, where rainfall, despite its potential for agricultural and water resource benefits, turned into severe hardships in several regions affected by flooding. The leadership expressed full solidarity with the affected residents, commending the mobilization of public authorities and various intervention units that worked relentlessly to protect lives and mitigate losses.

On the international front, the leadership asserted that Morocco’s position is no longer granted through mere politeness but is built on credibility and consistency in action. They cited the invitation from the United States for King Mohammed VI to join the Peace Council as a founding member, viewing this as evidence of international trust in Morocco’s role in promoting peace and stability. They affirmed that this positioning stems from a clear royal vision and a solid connection between foreign policy and commitment and responsibility.

The Moroccan Sahara issue was central to the speech, recognized as a unifying national cause, with its diplomatic course being affirmed by a growing number of international recognitions of the autonomy initiative as a serious and realistic solution. In this context, the party renewed its full support for the royal initiative and its readiness to contribute to its implementation, emphasizing that the Moroccan identity of the Sahara is a daily practical commitment, not just a political slogan.

Domestically, the leadership highlighted the kingdom’s success in organizing the African Cup of Nations, which they regarded as new evidence of Morocco’s capability to host major events, thanks to long-term investments in infrastructure and human resource development. Conversely, they condemned efforts to undermine this success, asserting that Morocco is measured by facts rather than rumors, and by results rather than promotional rhetoric.

They also recalled the Royal Office’s statement urging wisdom and restraint in discourse, and to refrain from falling for attempts to exploit tensions that could threaten Morocco’s African depth or distort its strategic choices. They considered this message primarily directed at political actors to bear their moral and institutional responsibilities.

Socially, the party stressed that patriotism is not reduced to slogans but is translated into a quality public education system, decent healthcare services, and spatial justice that eliminates disparities between cities and villages. The leadership affirmed that the government, with the party’s support within the majority, has worked to make the budget a tool for reducing inequalities by directing public investments to less benefitted areas and linking public spending to social impact and job creation.

Youth were given a significant focus in the discourse, regarded as the heart of upcoming transformations. The leadership asserted that their participation necessarily involves ethical integrity in political life and combating electoral financial manipulation. The party has advocated for this stance through its position on electoral laws, viewing the battle as one of values before it is technical or legal.

In a direct message to the youth, the collective leadership stressed that the party welcomes criticism and peaceful protest, viewing them as healthy expressions of societal vitality, and called for a conscious engagement in political work as the true gateway to influencing public policies and building the future.

The leadership concluded their remarks by affirming that the PAM’s project is not a temporary electoral initiative but a long-term national project aimed at a strong Morocco with territorial unity, equitable development, democratic laws, and humanitarian policies capable of placing youth and women at the forefront of societal transformation.
