JTI has topped the list of the best employers in Morocco for the fifth consecutive year, a recognition that reflects its ongoing commitment to developing human capital and the adoption of innovative practices that place employees at the heart of its strategy, alongside establishing a corporate culture based on an outstanding work experience.
On an international level, JTI confirms its leadership by ranking first as an employer in 14 countries worldwide, including Algeria and Tunisia, in addition to Morocco, within the North and West Africa group headquartered in Casablanca. This recognition highlights the company’s continuous excellence in human resource management and corporate culture at both regional and global levels.
In this context, Stanislav Vuchinko, Director of People and Culture for JTI in North and West Africa, stated that the renewal of the best employer certification reflects the continuous progress in human resources practices, confirming the success of the company’s strategy in areas like process digitalization, work environment, learning, ethics, and integrity, with a commitment to continue innovating and sharing best practices for the benefit of all employees.
For the twelfth consecutive year, JTI was awarded the Best Global Employer Award for 2026, having received this recognition in 50 countries during the current year, while nearly 40 of the company’s markets achieved advanced ratings, distributed between the first place for 14 companies, the second for 5 companies, and the third for 8 companies.
The company’s culture at JTI and its repeated recognition as a top employer are among the key factors that attract high-level talents, embodying a human-centered approach benefiting approximately 46,000 employees worldwide.
This title is awarded by the Top Employers Institute after a meticulous evaluation encompassing six main areas: work environment, talent attraction and management, learning and development, employee welfare, and diversity and inclusion.
In 2026, JTI continues to enhance a work environment that combines performance, well-being, and self-fulfillment through practical initiatives that support mental and physical health, personal development, and work-life balance. These initiatives include workshops on individual well-being, stress management programs, sports activities, celebratory events, along with flexible work policies.
The company also marks a national precedent as the first company in Morocco to offer fully paid maternity and paternity leave for 20 weeks to both new mothers and fathers, a move that reflects its commitment to gender equality and supporting family stability without compromising career paths.
JTI places talent development at the core of its strategy through its graduate program for the North and West Africa region, a six-month internship aimed at recent graduates from Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. The program enables participants to gain multi-functional practical experience, with interns representing about 10% of the total workforce, fully integrated and benefiting from the same privileges while contributing to impactful projects.
Since January 2024, the company has attracted 23 interns, with 10 of them promoted to permanent positions, reflecting its commitment to building sustainable career paths and developing skills.
The 2026 rankings of top employers underscore the depth of integrating a “people-first” approach across JTI’s various activities, engaging employees in shaping strategies, and encouraging innovation through idea labs and co-innovation programs, all within a collaborative work environment based on high ethics, solid integrity, and a clear commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
