“DigiSchool” Strengthens Digital Transformation in Moroccan Schools and Reaches National Recognition
The “DigiSchool” program, launched by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in partnership with Huawei Morocco, continues to solidify its position as a strategic initiative with tangible impact on the digital transformation of the educational system in the Kingdom. After a year filled with activities and achievements, the program has successfully reached thousands of teachers and students across various regions of the country, through a series of field initiatives that have served as a real lever for embedding integrated digital education within educational institutions.
Since its inception in 2024, “DigiSchool” has laid the groundwork for an educational community capable of utilizing modern technologies in the learning process. In 2025, the program witnessed a significant shift with an expansion of training sessions aimed at educational staff and the organization of practical workshops for students, contributing to the widespread adoption of digital practices, particularly in rural educational institutions.
This dynamic has reinforced the role of digital tools as a core component of educational action, instilling a culture of innovation within the school environment, through a methodological approach consisting of four integrated phases to ensure effective and sustainable implementation of the program.
The program employs a clear phased architecture, starting with training and culminating in national recognition, ensuring a gradual transition from capacity-building to showcasing innovative projects.
This phase commenced in 2024 and was strengthened in 2025 through an expanded beneficiary base. Selected trained teachers have taken on the role of “ambassadors” for the program within their institutions, with each ambassador overseeing training for 10 to 15 other teachers, in addition to guiding “DigiSchool” clubs as educational consultants. They also received accredited certifications from Huawei in their chosen specialties, enhancing their professional competencies.
On a regional level, each Academy chose four new educational institutions to participate, assigning three teachers and sixty students to each. Special clubs were established within these institutions, and their members benefited from an initial training day followed by an intensive four-day training program.
As a result, this phase covered 12 regional Academies, involving 48 new educational institutions and training 502 teachers, alongside direct benefits for 3,171 students.
This phase focused on supporting educational staff in integrating digital tools into their daily classroom practices through continuous training sessions and field support meetings. This approach has enabled the handling of practical challenges and strengthened the sustainability of the program’s impact within beneficiary institutions.
During this stage, 100 local exhibitions were organized at participating institutions, where digital educational projects were evaluated, and the best teams were selected, leading to 12 regional “hackathon” events. The outstanding teams qualified for a national training camp involving 120 teachers and 348 students.
The educational impact of this phase reached over 38,000 students and 2,000 teachers nationwide, fostering an environment for the presentation of innovative technical projects that enhanced a spirit of positive competition, cooperation, and the sharing of best practices.
The program concluded with a national camp held from February 14 to 16, 2026, featuring 12 teams representing the qualified regional academies. The teams presented their projects to a jury of experts for a chance to compete for the top three positions, culminating in a celebration of the winners during a “Demo Day” event that marked an official recognition moment for a journey extending over two years.
“DigiSchool” is based on a partnership between the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, and Huawei Morocco. This collaboration has established a new approach centered on digital inclusion and continuous training for educational human resources.
In this context, Anis Liou, Vice President of Huawei Morocco, highlighted that the program aligns with the company’s vision for an inclusive digital future in the Kingdom, emphasizing that investing in the training of teachers and students represents an investment in future generations.
Through its integrated methodology and phased architecture, “DigiSchool” has succeeded in building a model that combines education and technology within a long-term strategic vision. Today, the program is viewed as a prominent component of the national strategy aimed at establishing a modern, inclusive school that is responsive to the demands of the digital age, equipping learners to keep pace with the rapid changes occurring globally.
