The Chinese software industry recorded significant revenue growth of 13.2% in 2025, according to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, bringing total revenue to over 15.48 trillion yuan (approximately 2.22 trillion dollars). Overall profits saw an increase of 7.3%, surpassing 1.88 trillion yuan.
The IT service sector led this growth, generating revenue of 10.64 trillion yuan, marking a 14.7% rise compared to the previous year. Cloud computing and big data services stood out, with combined revenues reaching 1.62 trillion yuan, up by 13.6%.
Regarding cybersecurity products and services, the data indicated that revenues amounted to 223.5 billion yuan, registering an annual growth of 6.7%, reflecting the ongoing demand for data protection solutions in the Chinese market.
