The National Rally of Independents (RNI) has set the date for its extraordinary conference and reviewed its governmental and organizational achievements.
The political bureau of the National Rally of Independents convened a meeting on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at its central headquarters in Rabat, chaired by Aziz Akhannouch. The meeting addressed the current political, social, and economic situation of the party and Morocco, alongside several internal organizational issues.
During the meeting, the party continued to assess the performance of the current government, emphasizing that recent economic and social achievements are a result of major reform policies, including the expansion of social protection, support for investment, and strengthening social cohesion. It highlighted the need to intensify efforts to ensure the sustainability of these gains and to promote social justice and comprehensive development.
On the organizational front, the political bureau commended the success of the ordinary session of the National Council held on January 10, noting the party’s commitment to internal democracy and strengthening institutional work at both the national and regional levels.
In a significant move, the party announced that the extraordinary conference will be held on February 7, 2026, at the exhibition center in El Jadida. The nomination period for the party’s presidency will open on January 12 and continue until January 21, 2026. Additionally, a preparatory committee will be formed to oversee the preparations for this conference.
Mustapha Baitas, a member of the political bureau, presented the party’s new publication titled “Path of Achievements,” summarizing the outcomes of 12 communication rounds and “RNI Discussions” held in 77 municipalities, with the participation of more than 38,000 citizens and activists. The book represents a step towards enhancing the party’s vision for building a comprehensive national project based on fairness and equal opportunities, allowing every citizen to contribute to the future development trajectory.
This meeting occurs within the context of the party’s ongoing support for Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and the governing majority, ensuring the completion of government programs until the end of the constitutional term.
