The National Rally of Independents appreciates Morocco’s success in organizing the Africa Cup and prepares for its extraordinary conference
On Wednesday, the political bureau of the National Rally of Independents held its regular meeting at the party headquarters in Rabat, presided over by Aziz Akhannouch. The meeting reviewed the current political, social, and economic situation, and discussed the internal organizational aspects of the party.
At the start of the meeting, the political bureau expressed its pride in the remarkable success achieved by the Kingdom in hosting the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. It praised the high level of organization, quality of infrastructure, smooth transportation, and efficiency of security arrangements, alongside the large public turnout. The bureau also commended the wisdom and foresight demonstrated by the royal cabinet in countering attempts to undermine the credibility of the Kingdom, reaffirming support for His Majesty the King’s efforts to enhance African solidarity and cooperation.
On the governmental front, the political bureau praised the achievements related to the implementation of the 2025 finance law, considering them a reflection of the success of the government’s economic and financial policies, which manifested in improved growth indicators, an increase in tax revenues, and the enhancement of foreign currency reserves, all of which contributed to supporting the purchasing power of citizens and strengthening the national economy in a challenging international environment.
In organizational matters, the political bureau listened to a detailed presentation by Rachid Talbi Alami, head of the preparatory committee for the extraordinary national conference, regarding the progress of preparations to ensure a successful organization of the conference. In this context, the political bureau received the nomination of brother Mohamed Chouaki for the presidency of the party, and his nomination will be officially submitted to the extraordinary conference scheduled to be held in El Jadida on February 7, 2026.
