The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Mr. Amin Tahrawi, inaugurated the services of 10 urban and rural health centers as well as clinics in the Fes-Meknes region on Saturday, January 24, 2026. This initiative followed their rehabilitation and equipping, aimed at enhancing healthcare offerings and bringing services closer to citizens.

The launch ceremony took place at the rural health center of the second level in “Tandit,” located in the Boulemane province, in the presence of the provincial governor, Mr. Allal El Baz, along with various officials and elected representatives.

The entry of these health facilities into service aligns with the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, related to the reform and rehabilitation of the national health system, as well as the government program aimed at rebuilding, modernizing, and equipping 1,400 health centers across various provinces and regions in the kingdom.

In the Fes province, the services of four first-level urban health centers were inaugurated, namely “Sundus,” “Bab Sefrir,” “Ibn Slimane,” and “Al-Adarisa.” Meanwhile, the health offerings in Meknes province were bolstered with the opening of the first-level urban health center “Riyad Al-Kistani.”

In the Taounate province, the services of the second-level rural health center “Bouarous” were launched, along with the rural clinic “Oulad Ali,” while the Sefrou province strengthened its offerings with the opening of the rural clinic “Azkan.”

As for Boulemane province, the program included the inauguration of the second-level rural health center “Tandit,” equipped with a proximity medical emergency unit, in addition to the rural clinic “Taknsha.”

These health facilities will benefit a population of over 205,000 residents, supported by a team of approximately 80 healthcare professionals.

These centers, part of a new generation of primary healthcare institutions, aim to improve access to health services, enhance their quality, respond to the increasing demand, and improve the conditions of reception and guidance.

These facilities are also equipped with high-quality medical equipment, mobilizing qualified human resources to provide a comprehensive range of treatments, including general medical examinations, nursing care, chronic disease monitoring such as diabetes and hypertension, respiratory diseases, maternal and child health, school health, health awareness, epidemiological vigilance, and mobile health services.
