Egypt’s and Morocco’s Foreign Ministers Confirm Strength of Strategic Partnership and Prepare for New Initiatives in Bilateral Cooperation
During a phone call on Tuesday, January 27, the Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Morocco reaffirmed the depth and strength of the bilateral relations between Cairo and Rabat, emphasizing the two countries’ commitment to further developing these ties across various fields.
The call took place between Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, Dr. Badr Abdel Atti, and Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, as part of a regular consultation and coordination mechanism between the two brotherly nations.
The ministers highlighted the notable developments in Egyptian-Moroccan relations across political, economic, and commercial levels, confirming their joint efforts to enhance the pathways of bilateral partnership to serve mutual interests and strengthen investment cooperation.
Additionally, the call addressed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming work of the high joint committee between Egypt and Morocco, which is expected to take place in the near future with the attendance of the heads of government from both countries, aimed at giving a new impetus to bilateral cooperation and expanding its areas.
The discussions also covered the exchange of views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, where both sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation, and intensifying communications in the upcoming phase, to support regional security and stability and enhance Arab and African cooperation.
