Casablanca Welcomes Star Robbie Williams for the First Time in North Africa

British pop star Robbie Williams is set to perform his first concert in North Africa as part of the 19th edition of the Casablanca Festival, which is scheduled to take place from July 2 to July 11 in Casablanca.

Festival organizers have announced that the British artist will deliver an exceptional performance on Thursday, July 2, at Anfa Park, considering that this concert will be one of the highlights of this year’s edition.

Robbie Williams is one of the most prominent names in the global music scene, boasting a successful career spanning three decades, during which he has sold over 90 million albums worldwide. Fifteen of his works have topped the official chart in the United Kingdom, and he has won 18 BRIT Awards—a record that makes him one of the most influential British artists in music history.

According to available data, his current “BRITPOP” tour, which began in May, has attracted over 1.2 million spectators across various European capitals.

In January 2025, the soundtrack of the film “Better Man,” which chronicles the artist’s life, topped the sales charts in the UK, making it his fifteenth album to reach the number one spot in British rankings, equalling the record held by The Beatles.

Directed by Michael Gracey, the film received widespread critical acclaim and was nominated for an Oscar, while the documentary series about Robbie Williams, available on Netflix, achieved notable international success.

The announcement also noted that the British artist is known for his humanitarian engagement, being one of the founders of the “Soccer Aid for UNICEF” initiative, which has raised over £121 million to support humanitarian projects worldwide.

In 2025, Robbie Williams was appointed as an official music ambassador for FIFA and contributed to writing and performing the official anthem “Desire” alongside singer Laura Pausini.
