Mustafa Baytas, the Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesman, confirmed that the executive authority possesses a strong political will to expedite the official recognition of the Amazigh language. He emphasized that this initiative is a strategic priority in line with royal directives, particularly since the Agadir speech, and builds on the positive developments regarding the Amazigh cause, which holds deep identity significance.

During the weekly meeting that follows the government council, Baytas explained that the government has mobilized the necessary resources to implement the constitutional provisions related to the Amazigh language through measures that form part of a comprehensive vision aimed at integrating it across various aspects of public life.

In this context, he mentioned the establishment of a special fund to support the use of the Amazigh language, which has been allocated significant financial resources to fund programs primarily linked to modernizing administration and enhancing the presence of the Amazigh language within ministerial sectors, public institutions, and local communities.

The government official noted the creation of a dedicated department for promoting the use of Amazigh within the ministry responsible for digital transition and administrative reform, confirming that it has begun implementing practical measures, including employing several Amazigh-speaking agents in central and decentralized offices to provide reception and guidance services, especially in sectors that attract a significant number of users, such as health, justice, and culture.

Baytas added that a number of public sectors have set up helplines managed by Amazigh-speaking agents to facilitate access for users to information and services, also touching upon the education sector.

In this regard, he highlighted the noticeable development in the teaching of the Amazigh language, particularly concerning the number of positions dedicated to its teachers, which has increased from around 200 positions in 2020 to 400, then to 600, and is expected to reach a total of 1,000 positions by 2026.

Regarding Bill No. 66.23 related to the regulation of the legal profession, which has sparked extensive discussion, Baytas clarified that this is a draft law at the beginning of its legislative process and not a final text. He indicated that its approval within the government council took into account a series of observations made regarding it.
