Rabat Region Launches “Blassty” App to Facilitate Transportation During AFCON
The Rabat regional transport company has unveiled Blassty, the first Moroccan app dedicated to organizing and improving urban mobility in real-time within the Rabat-Salé-Témara urban area.
According to a statement from the company, this initiative aligns with “the visionary approach of King Mohammed VI, which places sustainable mobility, innovation, and improving citizens’ quality of life at the heart of the Kingdom’s major structural projects.”
The same source highlighted that the Blassty app is designed to accompany the transformation of the capital into a modern, interconnected, and seamless city. It emphasizes that this app provides an “integrated and intuitive” transport experience by unifying all urban transport modes onto a single platform for the first time in the country.
Additionally, the application allows users to check real-time bus and tram schedules, calculate routes, and obtain an ideal journey—whether single-modal or multimodal—based on arrival time, distance, or cost. Users can also view real-time parking availability and locate and request taxis with ease.
The app also enables users to find taxi ranks within the urban area, book a taxi to the airport, and track schedules for shuttle trains serving the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex on match days. Furthermore, it helps discover key landmarks and tourist attractions in Rabat through integrated routes within the app.
The statement concluded that thanks to the Blassty app, Rabat becomes the first city in the Kingdom to offer a “modern, reliable, and integrated digital tool” that assists both residents and visitors in all their travels, whether daily, professional, or touristic.
