The Political Bureau of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, chaired by the collective leadership of the General Secretariat, held its regular meeting on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the party’s headquarters in Rabat. The meeting discussed the latest developments in the national political arena and internal organizational issues within the party. Following a political presentation by the National Coordinator of the collective leadership, Fatima Zahra Mansouri, the meeting issued several important positions and recommendations, summarized as follows:
First, the Political Bureau expressed its deep sympathy for the victims of the tragic collapse of two buildings in the Al-Mustaqbal neighborhood of Fes, offering its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. It called for the avoidance of any opportunistic political exploitation of these events and emphasized the need to draw lessons to take necessary measures to protect lives.
Second, on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, the Bureau praised the progress Morocco has made in enhancing rights and freedoms, noting the implementation of the new Code of Criminal Procedure, which reflects the state’s commitment to balance the right to punishment with the protection of individual rights and strengthens the rights-based path that the Kingdom is pursuing.
Third, the Political Bureau welcomed the completion of the legislative process for electoral laws, affirming their overall alignment with the party’s positions. It stressed the importance of discussions around electoral programs by credible and honest political actors while avoiding any disparagement of the country’s institutions or downplaying their work.
Fourth, the Bureau reiterated its assertion of the media’s role as a mirror of society and a vehicle for shaping public opinion, appreciating the government’s efforts to reform the sector and enhance its independence. It called for a separation between professional reform and political choices, supporting self-regulation of the profession without direct government intervention.
Fifth, within the framework of the annual review of the electoral lists for 2026, the Bureau urged all party institutions and officials to encourage citizens to register extensively, viewing it as a national duty to ensure the exercise of democratic rights and strengthen Morocco’s institutional building.
Finally, the Political Bureau commended Morocco’s initiatives to combat violence against women, affirming that efforts continue to address rising cases of violence, particularly in rural areas and vulnerable neighborhoods. It called for a responsible national dialogue to establish bold and courageous reforms while discussing the party’s general communication and organizational program for 2026, continuing the outreach meetings organized by the party’s women and youth organizations.
