Moroccan national team players, led by Abd Al-Razzaq Hamdallah, are stepping forward to support victims of the floods in Safi. Amid the celebrations following the “Atlas Lions” victory in the Arab Cup, they are not forgetting the human suffering caused by the floods that affected many families.
Moroccan star Abd Al-Razzaq Hamdallah revealed a joint humanitarian initiative he led with several teammates, which involved sending aid shipments to Safi, his birthplace, in support of those affected by the devastating floods in the area.
During the press conference that followed Morocco’s Arab Cup victory, marked by a thrilling 3-2 win over the Jordanian team, Hamdallah asserted that the aid had indeed reached those in need, stating that this effort was coordinated collectively among the players.
The Moroccan forward explained that the initiative aims to provide direct support to families who lost loved ones or suffered significant property damage, expressing the players’ complete solidarity with the city’s residents during this difficult time.
With an emotional tone, Hamdallah stated, “As Moroccans, we are known for our generosity and kindness, and it is our nature to stand by each other in crises and hardships.” He added that the assistance provided remains modest in light of the vast suffering, but it stems from a sincere national sentiment.
Hamdallah emphasized that the joy of winning the Arab title is incomplete without sharing the citizens’ pain and offering them comfort, considering the humanitarian aspect an integral part of a player’s message both on and off the field.
This humanitarian stance adds an additional dimension to the Moroccan reserve team’s achievement, which marked a remarkable journey culminating in a well-deserved Arab title following a heroic match against the Jordanian team that ended with a 3-2 scoreline.
