Moroccan Security Delegation Receives Praise at Conclusion of Arab Cup Events in Doha
Doha – At the conclusion of the Arab Cooperation Security Center’s activities in Qatar’s capital, alongside the Arab Cup football tournament, the participating Moroccan security delegation received special recognition and praise from Qatari security authorities.
This honor was awarded in appreciation of the effective contributions of the delegation members in ensuring the success of the tournament, particularly in coordinating and sharing real-time information regarding Moroccan fans, which helped create a safe and comfortable sporting atmosphere for supporters of the Moroccan national team.
Qatari officials commended the significant efforts made by the General Directorate of National Security to enhance international security cooperation mechanisms and expand partnerships in policing and security fields, with an emphasis on sporting safety.
The General Directorate had mobilized a team of specialized security personnel to ensure the safety of major football events, participating in the Arab Cooperation Security Center’s operations and managing the movement of fans during the tournament.
This recognition comes as part of the Directorate’s preparations to secure the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, through the establishment of an African Security Cooperation Center that includes representatives from police agencies of participating African countries, aimed at managing security data and monitoring operations related to crowd management and analyzing information concerning this continental football event.
