Casablanca – In a new initiative to enhance entrepreneurship and innovation, Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Aml El Falah Saghrouchni, announced on Friday, December 12, the mobilization of 1.3 billion dirhams to support startups in Morocco as part of the Digital Morocco 2030 strategy.

Saghrouchni emphasized that these programs aim to establish 1,000 startups by 2026 and 3,000 by 2030, with a focus on integrating digitalization in rural areas and launching “Al-Jazari” institutes to support innovation ecosystems at the regional level.

The minister stated that Morocco aims, through these investments, the modernization of legal frameworks, and the development of international partnerships, to achieve a leading regional and continental position in digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and future industries.

For her part, Lamiya Benmakhlouf, General Director of Technopark, praised the role of digital business support programs, highlighting initiatives like JobInTech and the Moroccan Fintech Center. She noted that 36% of the companies supported by Technopark export their products to Europe, Africa, the United States, and the Middle East, reflecting the sector’s strong dynamics.

The conference, held from December 10 to 12 under the theme “Transformation and Growth of Enterprises in Africa – Resilience and Impact,” brought together experts, specialists, and leaders from the public and private sectors to discuss opportunities for digital transformation and support for business growth at the continental level.
