As of December 24, the water reservoir levels of the dams under the supervision of the Sebou Water Agency reached 42.8%, according to official data from the “Maa Dialna” platform affiliated with the Ministry of Equipment and Water.

The same data indicated that the total water storage of the eleven dams in the Sebou basin exceeded 2.38 billion cubic meters, reflecting a relative improvement in the region’s water resources.

The figures revealed that four dams recorded filling rates surpassing 60%. The Bouhda Dam achieved a full capacity of 100%, followed by Alal Fassi Dam at 97%, the Man’a Dam at 96%, and Bab Louta Dam at 69%.

In contrast, the Michlifen, Al Wahda, and Sidi Al Shahed Dams recorded filling rates of 57%, 44%, and 41%, respectively, while the Sahla Dam did not exceed 37%, Asfalou Dam 36%, Idriss I Dam 35%, and Qansara Dam 30%.

The Al Wahda Dam, one of the largest in the kingdom and crucial for irrigating the Gharb Plain and preventing floods from the Oued Louarga, recorded a water volume exceeding 1.5 billion cubic meters.

The Sebou Basin, alongside 11 large dams, includes a total of 51 small dams and a downstream lake, reinforcing its position as one of the most important water basins in Morocco.

It spans an area of nearly 40,000 square kilometers and significantly supports agricultural and industrial activities that are strategically important to the national economy.

On a national level, the total water reserve in the large dams reached approximately 5.4 billion cubic meters, with a filling rate of about 32.2%. The total reserves amount to nearly 5.82 billion cubic meters, with a filling rate estimated at 34.7%.
