The Atlas Lions begin preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations at the Mohammed VI Complex in Maâmora
The national team commenced its preparations on Monday for the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted by the Kingdom from December 21, 2025, to January 19, 2026. The team entered into a training camp aimed at ensuring optimal physical and tactical readiness.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation reported that the players held their first training session at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora, under the supervision of national coach Walid Rekragui, in an atmosphere characterized by seriousness and focus.
The source added that the first session was dedicated to increasing physical intensity, along with conducting a series of technical exercises, emphasizing the importance of cohesion and understanding among the players.
Most of the called-up players participated in this session, with the squad set to be completed in the upcoming training sessions. The preparation program will continue according to the schedule outlined by the technical staff in anticipation of competing in the continental championship under the best possible circumstances.
