Saudi Arabia Advances to the Semi-finals of the Arab Cup After a Marathon Match Against Palestine

The Saudi national team secured a spot in the semi-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™ after a thrilling 2-1 victory over Palestine following extra time, in a match held at Lusail Stadium with a notable fan presence.

The game began cautiously from both sides before the Green Falcons translated their pressure into a penalty kick, converted by Firas Al-Borikan in the 58th minute after Mohamed Saleh brought down Saudi star Salem Al-Dosari inside the box. The Palestinian response was swift, as Oday Al-Dabbagh equalized with a precise shot in the 64th minute, intensifying the match’s tension until the final whistle.

As the extra time commenced, both teams sought a goal to ease their nerves. Mohammad Kanno broke the deadlock with a skillful header in the 115th minute, following a well-placed cross from the outstanding Salem Al-Dosari, who continued to impress throughout the tournament.

With this victory, the Saudi team will face the winner of the upcoming match between Jordan and Iraq in the semi-finals, eagerly awaiting an opponent that will set the stage for a fierce battle in their quest for the Arab title.
