Roads Closed in Azilal Province Due to Snow, Intensive Efforts to Restore Traffic
Several localities in the Azilal province experienced heavy rain and snowfall during the night from Sunday to Monday, December 1, 2025, leading to the closure of several key roadways, particularly on regional roads 302 and 317.
The provincial authorities mobilized various technical and security services in coordination with the regional directorate for equipment and the Atlas group of municipalities to gather the necessary human and logistical resources to address the impacts of these weather conditions.
Thanks to the swift interventions by work teams, several vital routes were reopened for road users, including a previously unclassified road connecting Taklfit and Anrki.
The regional directorate for equipment also restored traffic on regional road 317 between Azilal and Kelaat M’Gouna, as well as on regional road 302 linking Demnat and Ouaouizguert.
Additionally, an unclassified road connecting regional road 302 at Ait Abdi was opened at the level of the Zaouiat Ahnach commune, alongside the reopening of the road leading to Talmest in the same commune, thanks to equipment made available by the group of municipalities.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure the safety of citizens and the smooth flow of traffic across various routes in the province during this period of significant climatic disturbances.
