Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, held a working meeting on Tuesday with representatives of the Moroccan Shipowners Association (ARMA), as part of the ministry’s policy aimed at continuous dialogue and consultation with maritime sector professionals and enhancing communication channels regarding issues of common interest.

A statement from the ministry indicated that the meeting addressed the operational challenges facing national shipowners, ongoing reforms, and prospects for their implementation, along with listening to practical proposals from professionals, strengthening maritime training systems, and integrating seafarers into the labor market.

During the meeting, Minister Kayouh emphasized the importance of adopting a participatory approach that involves professional stakeholders in developing and implementing public policies related to maritime transport, stressing the ministry’s commitment to supporting shipowners and all initiatives aimed at strengthening the national maritime fleet and enhancing the kingdom’s maritime profile.

This meeting occurs within the dynamic framework led by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics to establish a strong and competitive national maritime fleet, consistent with the kingdom’s strategic objectives in enhancing logistical sovereignty and developing maritime transport.
