The extraordinary general assembly of Wydad Athletic Club has been postponed due to insufficient legal quorum.
This decision was made following a meeting in which it was confirmed that two-thirds of the members were not present, which is the basic requirement set by the club’s internal regulations for convening such meetings.
Hicham Ait Mina, the club’s president, explained in a media statement that the failure to reach the quorum is attributed to logistical and personal circumstances faced by the members. He noted that several members are currently abroad, and others are traveling with their families during the holiday season. He emphasized that the management was prepared to hold the assembly as scheduled, but compliance with legal procedures remains mandatory.
Ait Mina pointed out that the postponement will follow the regulatory guidelines imposed by the internal law, which mandates setting a new date no less than 15 days after the postponement. He confirmed that the board of directors will meet in the coming days to establish the new date for the general assembly, and the members will be formally notified as soon as a decision is made. He highlighted that the next session will proceed with those present in accordance with legal allowances.
