As part of its active participation in national efforts aimed at establishing a culture of road safety, the General Directorate of National Security in Khouribga took part in the activities of World Road Safety Day. This initiative underscores the commitment of the security institution to protect lives and contribute to the prevention of road accidents.
This event served as an opportunity to engage in a serious and responsible discussion regarding the legal and security aspects related to road usage. The focus was on the latest updates to the traffic code and the importance of adhering to traffic laws by all road users, including drivers and pedestrians.
The discussions also addressed the dangers stemming from irresponsible behaviors, such as excessive speed, disregard for traffic signals, and the use of mobile phones while driving. Representatives of the national security highlighted the pivotal role of security services in monitoring and enforcing regulations, alongside awareness campaigns aimed at educating citizens, especially young people, about the need to adopt a civilized and safe conduct on the road. They emphasized that road safety is a collective responsibility that extends beyond law enforcement officers to include families, schools, and civil society.
This participation reinforces the openness of the national security towards its community and its belief that prevention, communication, and awareness remain essential tools alongside strict law enforcement to reduce road casualties and build a traffic culture based on respect and the right to life.
