Mohammed Chouika Elected President of the Moroccan Association of Film Critics
Mohammed Chouika has been elected as the new president of the Moroccan Association of Film Critics, succeeding Khalil Dhamoun.
Chouika, a writer and film critic, was elected during the general assembly held yesterday in Casablanca, which included discussions and unanimous votes on both the literary and financial reports.
The results of the vote for the governing office revealed a team that includes, in addition to Mohammed Chouika, Leila Cheradi as vice president, Mohammed Bouyaidi as secretary general, Suleiman Al-Hakawi as his deputy, Said Labib as treasurer, Boucheta Farqzid as his deputy, and Mohammed Abed as a communication advisor.
It is worth noting that the Moroccan Association of Film Critics was founded in 1995 and is a member of the International Federation of Film Critics and the African Federation of Film Critics. The association works through various activities, including seminars, training days, and publications, to promote film criticism, disseminate cinematic culture, and keep pace with developments in Moroccan cinema.
