Mobile Units for National Identity Cards: A Field Approach to Enhance Spatial Justice and Bring Administration Closer to Mountain Inhabitants
The mobile units of the National Security have continued their efforts to provide services for issuing and renewing electronic national identity cards to residents of rural and remote areas, especially those facing difficulties in accessing such services. This initiative falls within the framework of promoting accessibility and ensuring the right to access administrative services.
In this context, these units have settled in several mountainous regions of the Taroudant province, including Toubkal, Ouzia, and Ahl Tafnut, where residents benefitted from essential administrative services without the need to travel long distances to urban centers.
This initiative has been very well received by citizens, particularly the elderly and women, due to its positive impact in alleviating the burdens of travel and the associated costs. Moreover, it contributes to accelerating the acquisition of necessary identification documents for accessing other social and administrative services.
These operations are part of a comprehensive strategy adopted by the General Directorate of National Security, aimed at generalizing administrative services and achieving spatial justice, with a particular focus on mountainous and isolated areas. This aligns with directives aimed at improving the quality of public services and enhancing trust between citizens and institutions.
These mobile campaigns are expected to continue in the upcoming periods, covering other rural and mountainous areas, marking a practical commitment to bringing administration closer to citizens wherever they may be.
