Kenitra Hosts the Second Station of the Sixth Edition of the National Theater Festival

The city of Kenitra is hosting the second station of the sixth edition of the National Theater Festival, an artistic and cultural event supported by the municipality of Kenitra for the year 2025. The Development Center for Education and Training Association has chosen to organize this event in conjunction with the commemoration of the Green March, reflecting the organizers’ commitment to connecting cultural action with the collective memory of Moroccans. This edition is themed: “From the Heart of Theater, Journalism and Community Action Meet in a Unified Message,” emphasizing the role of theater as a bridge between creativity and community communication.

The audience of Kenitra will witness a moment of recognition for three personalities who have left their mark on the local scene. Journalist Mohamed Al-Qasri, director of Al-Fajr newspaper, artist and journalist Hamza Zanani, and Professor Hamid Aida, president of the Kenitra Civil Society Associations Federation, will be honored. This recognition aims to highlight the value of the intersection between art, media, and civic initiative.

The festival evening will feature enriching artistic segments, with singer and composer Mohamed Sharif accompanied by a professional music band, along with artists Rachid Abdon and Abdel Latif Minia, in addition to Dar Assaad’s troupe. The comedic duo Jamal and Nour Eddin from Tangier will present a humorous segment, while Dr. Mehdi Al-Shawi will host the event.

The program for this station includes an educational evening for children on Sunday starting at 4 p.m., followed by workshops for youth at the same time on Monday. The festival will conclude with a ceremony gathering all contributors to this event alongside the Development Center for Education and Training Association, celebrating the achieved collaboration and support from the municipality of Kenitra, which bets on culture, arts, and sports as the foundation for human development and enhancing the city’s radiance.
