Ben Yahya: More than 39,000 beneficiaries from multifunctional women’s institutions and enhancing the care system before 2026

Follow-up

Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family, Naima Ben Yahya, announced that the number of women benefiting from the services of multifunctional institutions has exceeded 39,089 cases as of May 2025. She indicated that the ministry continues to strengthen this path in preparation for the 2026 program, which aims to develop the care system and improve the distribution of these centers across the country.

In a written response to a question posed by parliamentarian Latifa Abouht, regarding “the policy adopted to qualify shelters for women victims of violence and to enhance their services,” the minister stated that the ministry is working to provide financial support to the multifunctional institutions, which number 107, with an estimated budget of 29 million dirhams through the National Fund for 2024.

Ben Yahya added that the ministry has prepared a “reference guide for the care of women victims of violence” within these institutions, to establish clear rules and criteria for providing essential services.

She also highlighted that the ministry supports the associative framework managing listening and guidance centers for women victims of violence, through three financial tranches benefiting associations, with total support reaching 18,079,200 dirhams. This includes 79 projects distributed across various regions of the kingdom, with funding extending from 2023/2024 to 2026.

To improve the quality of services, the ministry is set to launch the digital platform “Aman Lak” to request care services for women victims of violence, as part of the 23rd national campaign to combat violence against women. This platform will serve as a dedicated space to receive requests for care services, including reception, guidance, support, legal aid, and psychological support.

The minister confirmed that the ministry will carry out a field assessment of the multifunctional institutions in 2026 to identify basic needs and regional gaps, including rural areas and civil society associations, aiming to establish future programs and plans based on precise data.

She explained that the digital platform will enable the creation of a national map for the spread of violence and the institutions providing services, and will help direct policies and programs, accelerate responses for cases, and enhance networking and communication between institutions to improve the quality of services provided to women and girls in difficult situations.
