The Adrar Stadium in Agadir witnessed an unprecedented turnout of football fans, with more than 35,000 spectators attending the match between Cameroon and Gabon. Despite the game being held midweek and starting late (21:00), the audience was significant, reflecting the Moroccan fans’ passion for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The match ended with Cameroon winning 1-0, marking the team’s first points in the tournament. This crowd is the largest attendance at the Africa Cup of Nations so far, following the opening match between Morocco and Comoros, which saw 61,000 fans at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

The atmosphere in the Adrar Stadium was electric, with continuous support from the fans, giving the encounter a special character that highlights the strong interest in the tournament’s matches, even during late hours.
