Film “3 Minutes” Hits Moroccan Cinemas with a New Comedic Twist Starting December 17
The Moroccan film scene welcomes its new release “3 Minutes,” an intriguing cinematic work that blends comedy and drama, directed by Saïd Benzekri and produced by Perfect Sound Prod. A pre-release screening is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, at the Mikarama Cinema in Casablanca, attended by the film’s cast and various artists and media personalities interested in the film industry.
The film, running for 100 minutes, tells the story of Othmane, a simple distributor in a popular neighborhood who accidentally discovers a strange device with an application that allows him to rewind three minutes into the past. This unexpected ability turns his life upside down, presenting him with challenging human and emotional tests, only for him to realize that some decisions and fates cannot be corrected no matter how much power or second chances one has.
“3 Minutes” is presented in Moroccan Darija with French subtitles, offering an artistic perspective that touches on everyday life with both a sarcastic and profound style, raising fundamental questions about choice, regret, and the limits of controlling destiny.
The film features a prominent cast, including Saïd Benzekri, Tarik Bakari, Souheil, Zahra Selmani, Nariman Sadad, Sara Faris, Mehdi Takito, Younes Benzakour, Zouheir Sidiq, Sidik Mekhwar, Tami Janah, Khadija Adli, and Abdelhadi Benen.
The pre-release screening is expected to be a special event celebrating this new cinematic work and sparking discussion about its artistic experience and creative vision ahead of its national release.
