Kareem Zidane, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government responsible for Investment, Coordination, and Public Policy Evaluation, launched the regional caravan to introduce very small, small, and medium enterprises to the new support system in the Marrakech-Safi region yesterday, Monday, in Essaouira. This caravan will continue its tour over the next few weeks, covering all eight provinces of the region.
The launch was attended by André Azoulay, advisor to King Mohammed VI; Mohammed Rachid, Governor of Essaouira Province; and Mahmoud Msaad, Director General of the Regional Investment Center for Marrakech-Safi, along with several regional and provincial directors, representatives from the private sector, professional associations, and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, in addition to local entrepreneurs and investors.
In his speech, the minister explained that this system is part of implementing the new investment charter, aligning with King Mohammed VI’s directives that position productive investment as a cornerstone of economic growth and the enhancement of territorial justice. He added that the Marrakech-Safi region, with its tourist and economic attractiveness and diverse entrepreneurial fabric, boasts significant potential to support investment and create new growth opportunities. He emphasized that this requires strong engagement from very small, small, and medium enterprises to benefit from this system and leverage available opportunities across various productive sectors.
The Essaouira station, part of a series of regional caravans initiated by the ministry starting in Rashidia on November 11, 2025, under the supervision of the Head of Government, included a detailed presentation of the new system and its eligibility criteria, as well as an explanation of the file submission procedures via the digital platform CRI-Invest.
The meeting featured an in-depth discussion with entrepreneurs and attendees, providing insights into various challenges and informing entrepreneurs about available opportunities, thereby enhancing their active participation in this system. Field offices and consultation spaces were also organized to clarify system details and address investor inquiries.
The ministry announced the mobilization of focal points at all regional investment center branches, as well as the main center in Marrakech, to ensure continuous communication and facilitate the follow-up of system implementation at all stages.
