The “Visa For Music” festival kicks off today in Rabat, marking its twelfth edition with extensive international participation. Running from November 19 to 22, the festival features a rich and diverse program that brings together over 500 artists and 1,000 professionals from various countries. This edition presents a mix of concerts and electronic performances, along with public shows at Mohammed V Theatre, topped off by an opening ceremony honoring prominent African musical figures.
The festival continues its commitment to supporting youth and cultural diversity by offering free activities aimed at professionals and students, as well as organizing meetings within universities and high schools. It also places significant emphasis on the participation of women in the arts, who make up over 30% of the participants.
The event also hosts the “African Music Market,” a platform for networking among artists, producers, and programmers to exchange expertise and build new partnerships. In parallel, the “OFF” program presents a series of concerts, meetings, and accompanying activities that add an interactive and lively dimension to the festival.
With this kickoff, “Visa For Music” affirms its status as a key event for African and global music, serving as a space for collaboration, creativity, and the promotion of the music industry on the continent.
