The Technical Center for Plastics and Rubber (CTPC), in partnership with the Moroccan Institute for Standardization (IMANOR), held a press conference to announce the granting of the management delegation for the Moroccan Standards mark “NM” for food packaging. This move strengthens the center’s position as a reference institution in the plastic and packaging sector in Morocco.

Abdel Rahim Taibi, the Director General of IMANOR, confirmed that the delegation comes after ensuring the center’s compliance with technical standards and guaranteeing that plastic products that come into contact with food are free from harmful substances. He emphasized that this compliance serves as a passport for Moroccan products to increase their competitiveness both locally and internationally.

In his statement, Nasser Eddine Anssari, Director of the center, noted that the delegation acts as a lever for the development of the food plastic sector in Morocco and reflects the trust placed in the center’s technical expertise and its commitment to quality, food safety, and industrial innovation.

This achievement follows a process that lasted about 12 months, which included studying standards, aligning procedures with the institute’s system, enhancing technical capacities, and creating a management system for compliance with international standards. It reflects the international accreditation of the laboratory according to ISO/IEC 17025, along with previous strategic partnerships with major institutions such as Airbus.
