Qal’at al-Sraghna: Provincial Delegate Samir Al-Yazidi Launches Water Project in Jawala and Inspects Educational Institution in Tamlalt

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the glorious Green March and in line with the royal vision aimed at enhancing rural development and improving the living conditions of citizens, the Provincial Delegate of Qal’at al-Sraghna, Mr. Samir Al-Yazidi, inaugurated on Tuesday a significant project to supply clean drinking water to the villages of Jawala and Al-Jabeel. The project has a total cost of 72 million dirhams, funded by the Marrakech-Safi Regional Council.

This vital project targets more than 40 villages and includes the construction of two reservoirs, each with a capacity of 500 cubic meters, as well as the establishment of two pumping stations with a capacity of 250 kilovolt-amps. Additionally, it involves the connection of 37 tanks and the establishment of three public drinking water points, all under an approach aimed at ensuring water supply in areas affected by water resource scarcity.

During this event, Mr. Al-Yazidi was welcomed by the parliamentary deputy for the Sraghna district, Moulay Mokhtar Benfaida, the President of Jawala Municipality, and Azouz Al-Marsli, the President of Al-Jabeel Municipality, along with several elected officials and local authority representatives. This project represents the fruitful coordination between the provincial administration and the regional council, reflecting a collective commitment to achieving territorial justice and providing essential infrastructure for rural citizens.

On the same day, Mr. Samir Al-Yazidi visited the city of Tamlalt, where he conducted an inspection of the Al-Mutanabbi Primary School. This visit aligns with the social dynamics of the region and reflects the commitment of provincial authorities to closely support the educational system.

He was received by the provincial director of the Ministry of National Education, Early Education, and Sports, Mr. Hamid Habibi, the President of Tamlalt Municipality, Mr. Jamal Knyoun, council members, the city’s mayor, local authority representatives, and members of civil society.

The visit provided an opportunity to assess the facilities of the institution, the schooling conditions, and the quality of educational spaces, where Mr. Al-Yazidi listened to explanations about the educational process and the challenges faced by the institution. He praised the continuous efforts of the educational and administrative teams, urging a collective commitment to providing a stimulating educational environment that fosters values of belonging and citizenship among the youth.

These two events are part of a field approach adopted by the provincial authorities in Qal’at al-Sraghna, aiming to closely monitor development projects and ensure the effectiveness of public interventions in vital areas such as water and education, regarded as fundamental pillars for building a balanced Morocco characterized by spatial justice and sustainable development.
