The Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch, held talks this Wednesday morning in Rabat with Sidi Ould Tah, President of the African Development Bank Group. The discussions focused on ways to strengthen the distinguished partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and this continental financial institution.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister praised the role of the African Development Bank in supporting and overseeing the major reforms and structural projects launched by Morocco in various fields under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. He highlighted the quality and diversity of the bank’s financial portfolio in the Kingdom.
For his part, Sidi Ould Tah expressed his appreciation for Morocco’s hosting of the “African Investment Forum” and the support Morocco provides to the African Development Bank Group as a key partner for the institution.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bank’s portfolio in Morocco, which includes support for projects in infrastructure, energy, and social sectors. They also discussed future partnership prospects, particularly regarding government programs aimed at creating job opportunities for youth and enhancing the capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises and micro-enterprises.
It is worth noting that Morocco has maintained a strategic partnership with the African Development Bank Group since 1970, characterized by continuous and successful cooperation in several vital sectors, aligning with Morocco’s investment policy and development goals.
