The Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts Trading with an Increase

The Casablanca Stock Exchange commenced trading on Monday with an upward trend, as its main index, the “Masi,” recorded a gain of 0.29 percent, settling at 18,258.14 points.

The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, rose by 0.38 percent to 1,483.33 points, while the MASI.ESG index, which tracks companies with top ratings, improved by 0.44 percent to 1,242.06 points.

Conversely, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the exchange, fell by 0.87 percent to 1,754.15 points.

The “Masi” index had ended trading last Friday with a profit of 0.51 percent.
