In a new step reflecting the dynamic development of the Sidi Bennour region, the official launch of a first-level health center in the rural municipality of Kridid was announced yesterday, Thursday, under the supervision of the regional governor, Munir Houari.
This health project coincides with the celebrations marking the fiftieth anniversary of the Green March, forming a new building block in the effort to rehabilitate the national health system. This aligns with the High Royal directives aimed at universal health coverage and promoting principles of social and spatial justice.
The center, which is expected to cost over 2.2 million dirhams, is funded by the National Initiative for Human Development. It aims to bring essential medical services closer to the rural population and alleviate the pressure on other health centers in the region.
This project will improve reception and treatment conditions for the area’s residents, especially vulnerable groups who previously had to travel long distances to access primary medical care.
The new health center is anticipated to contribute to enhancing local human development indicators and strengthening health services in rural areas, in line with the national vision to reduce disparities and achieve balanced and sustainable development.
