Renewal of Abdellatif Hammouchi’s Membership in the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences
The membership of Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, has been renewed for the second time within the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, during the 51st session of the council held from November 2 to 4.
Hammouchi is participating in this meeting hosted in Riyadh, chaired by Saudi Interior Minister and President of the Supreme Council of the university, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, alongside several ministers and high-ranking Arab security officials.
A statement from the General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance indicated that this renewal underscores Morocco’s trusted status within Arab security institutions and the leading role the Kingdom plays in the development of police and security training systems at the regional level.
The source clarified that Hammouchi is also participating in the official ceremony for the graduation of the 43rd batch of postgraduate students at Naif University, the scientific and educational arm of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, which this year includes 374 graduates from 11 Arab countries.
During the meeting, members of the Supreme Council discussed mechanisms for implementing the university’s strategic plan for the period 2025–2029, aimed at diversifying educational and research programs and anticipating future challenges in police and academic security.
They also reviewed the university’s major achievements, including receiving international accreditation from the American Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) until 2030, in addition to the accreditation of three academic programs from the French High Council for Research and Higher Education Evaluation, and the classification of the Master’s program in Cybercrime within the Saudi cybersecurity framework.
The renewal of Abdellatif Hammouchi’s membership reflects the ongoing close cooperation between Morocco and Arab security institutions, and continues efforts to develop a future vision for academic police training and enhance the quality of security education in the region.
