Morocco Launches Over 900 Ready-to-Invest Ideas through Tourism Projects Bank

In line with its national strategy, Morocco is leveraging the Tourism Projects Bank as a digital platform that offers hundreds of ready investment opportunities across various regions of the kingdom. This initiative aims to structure an offer comprising more than 900 investment-ready projects distributed across approximately 60 provinces.

The platform was launched by the Ministry of Tourism in partnership with the Moroccan Company for Tourism Engineering (SMIT) to enable investors, particularly youth, to access models of replicable tourism projects in different areas.

Each project featured on the platform comes with detailed cards that include estimated investment value, expected returns, and profitability indicators, as well as the number of jobs created.

The platform encompasses 14 thematic chains within the tourism sector, addressing a wide range of concepts including marine activities such as boat tours and dolphin watching, entertainment activities like outdoor cinemas, nighttime mini-golf, extreme sports, and aerial sports like paragliding and skydiving. It also highlights innovative experiences such as Zoo 4.0 using augmented reality technology, local product tours, wellness activities, and sublimerapia.

The required investments range between 100,000 and 10 million dirhams, making these projects accessible to a wide array of investors.

Not only does the platform showcase projects, but it also provides investors with a complete support pathway from idea to execution, facilitating access to public funding. Additionally, the advanced search system allows users to filter projects by region, type of activity, or tourism chain, helping to identify the most attractive opportunities.

This initiative aligns with the 2023-2026 tourism roadmap aimed at promoting sustainable tourism growth that meets territorial development objectives and supports youth integration into the local economy.
