“MAZI” Rises Again at the Opening of Casablanca Stock Exchange
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened its trading on Tuesday with an increase in its main index, the MASI, which recorded a 0.43% advance, reaching 18,417.29 points, according to the data circulated.
The MASI.20 index, reflecting the performance of 20 listed companies, also rose by 0.47% to approximately 1,499.57 points. Furthermore, the MASI ESG index, which includes companies with the best ESG ratings, increased by 0.69%, reaching 1,250.56 points. Meanwhile, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index saw a slight gain of 0.02%, standing at 1,777.38 points.
On the stock front, the transportation sector led the gainers with a 5.27% rise (56.5 dirhams), followed by Bank of Africa at +4.06% (227.9 dirhams), Managem at +3.14% (1,640 dirhams), Cosumar at +3.09% (200 dirhams), and finally, Lands Capital at +2.23% (449.8 dirhams).
Conversely, stocks such as Airtel Africa dropped by 3.68% (34.01 dirhams), Sonasid by 2.91% (2,270 dirhams), Marsa Maroc by -1.53% (955.20 dirhams), the Casablanca Construction Public Works Company by -1.42% (875 dirhams), and Bank of Morocco by -0.82% (942.2 dirhams).
